			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For next Shabbat weekend, <strong>May 3rd to May 5th,</strong> we will be welcoming into our community <strong>rabbinic candidate Moshe Davis and his wife, Ariela</strong>.</p>
<p>Rabbi Davis is currently running a community-wide growth initiative, in conjunction with the City of Houston, as well as the Orthodox Union, which recently chose Houston as their model city for Affordable Orthodox Living. In this capacity, Rabbi Davis recruits out of state families, helps them find professional opportunities in Houston, speaks regularly at community and synagogue events, and liaisons between all the different parts of the Houston Jewish community.  He previously served as an assistant rabbi for Houston&#8217;s largest orthodox synagogue.<br />

Revealing this secret  forces Sala to acknowledge heal the present by acknowledging her pasts. The College of Charleston Department of Theatre presents <strong>&#8220;Letters to Sala&#8221; by Arlene Hutton, a play based on the book &#8220;Sala&#8217;s Gift&#8221; by Sala&#8217;s daughter Ann Kirschner. <p>In addition, The REMEMBER Program of the Charleston Jewish Federation will  cosponsor a  special program entitled, Whose Story Is It: How an Archive Was Transformed into an Exhibition, a Book, a Play, and a Documentary Film.   <strong>Join curator Jill Vexler, playwright Arlene Hutton, and Ann Kirschner  at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, in the Recital Hall of the Simons Center for the Arts</strong>, 54 Saint Philip St as they discuss the genesis of this amazing project. The special program is free to the public.</p>
